Artificial intelligence and Information technology

Image
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as one of the most transformative technologies in Information Technology. It has been all the craze for the last few months, and I decided to investigate it more. I am into Artificial intelligence, so I wanted to explore how this would affect the future of computers and our lives. In this blog post, we'll delve into the captivating journey of AI, from its humble beginnings to its potential future. Let's explore how AI relates to the fundamental concepts of information technology and computer science, analyzing its reliance on hardware components, programming languages, application software, database management, and its interaction with network architecture and security. A Brief History of AI: The history of AI takes us back to the 1950s when the notion of machines imitating human intelligence sparked curiosity. Early pioneers like Alan Turing laid the foundation for AI's theoretical underpinnings. Over the decades, AI r

Network Security

Network Security Using ping commands can be a helpful way to test network connectivity and measure the round-trip time between a source and a destination. However, in the wrong hands, ping commands can also be utilized as part of a network reconnaissance process to gather information about potential targets. Two attacks that can be executed in the wrong hands are: ·          Ping Sweeping/ICMP Scanning: Attackers can use ping commands to perform a ping sweep, sending ICMP echo requests (pings) to various IP addresses. By analyzing the responses, they can determine which IP addresses are active and potentially vulnerable to further exploitation. ·          Ping Flood/ICMP Flooding: In a ping flood attack, the attacker sends massive ICMP echo requests to a target system, overwhelming its resources and causing denial-of-service (DoS) conditions. The system cannot respond to legitimate requests due to the flood of incoming pings. Security Holes/Vulnerabilities: Explanation of vul

Computers in the Workplace

I have experience in sales, and there are many reasons why a salesperson would need a computer. Regarding sales, computer usage is your number one thing on the job. They play a crucial role in facilitating various functions and improving overall efficiency. Here are a couple of ways computers are key for the sales industry. Computers use data management to store, manage, and analyze vast amounts of sales data, including customer information, sales transactions, inventory levels, and market trends. Sales tracking and CRM help sales teams track leads manage customer interactions and monitor sales progress. This tool will enable better customer relationship management, efficient pipeline cells, and increase cell productivity. We also have communication and collaboration computers that make it easier to communicate and collaborate with the team via video conferencing, e-mail, and online collaboration tools to work together as a team. These are a couple of ways that computers are usef

Traveling Through a Network

Being able to ping and traceroute command was interesting as I've heard of this and done this a couple of times way back but have not done it since. It was great to go back and see help pinging and traceroute work. Also, something new was putting websites from different countries to see how they compared to The United States ping. Package travel through cables, and they find the communication link through other computers to find the correct path to the correct PC. So packets travel through several other computers on a path to a destination. Differences occur due to the dynamic nature of network routing and the Internet's infrastructure. Factors influencing the paths include network congestion, routing policies, peering agreements between internet service providers (ISPs), and geographical considerations. The paths to different destinations can differ due to various factors, including network infrastructure, routing policies, and geographical considerations. While the round-

Web/Mobile App Critique

Before I read the chapter, I already had some apps in mind that would be great to use. I ultimately decided on WhatsApp. Not only is it an app, but it is also a web app now. I went with this application because it is an app many people use to communicate locally and internationally. Seeing an app that can help people communicate with their loved ones, close or far, is excellent. There are more than 2 billion users on WhatsApp!! The number of users will likely keep growing. This will be my experience and opinion as I have used the app for multiple years and have seen how they keep updating it.                 WhatsApp is a popular messaging app that has been around for over a decade. Open the app, select chat, select who you want to message, then type and send the message. It has a simple and user-friendly interface that allows users to send text messages, voice messages, make voice and video calls, and share files. The app is straightforward to navigate. You can qui

Programing Languages and Scratch

Programming Languages and Scratch It was a great experience going back to doing block coding! I have done We used to do summer camps at the Microsoft store, and kids would come to do various activities. Coding was one of the things we did. It was great to go back in time and do them again. It was very similar to code.org. Block coding makes it easier to code and learn the coding. It was challenging to do since it had been a long time. It was a fantastic time, and I had fun building the game and relearning it again. The difficulties were remembering how to start things and stay in a certain position. Since it was a long time, I forgot everything and had to relearn slowly. But I had fun figuring it out and researching when needed to help solve my issue. I overcame my difficulties by researching and watching videos to see how someone solved the problem. I spent lots of time trying to make the rocks move and make more come to make it look like there were a lot of rocks. Programming is
